Скелет. Слово skeleton встречается в двух английских выражениях: skeleton in the cupboard/closet и skeleton at the feast. В первом выражении — это семейная тайна, неприятность, скрываемая от посторонних. Дело в том, что давным-давно решили найти совершенно беззаботного человека. Искали, искали, но не нашли. Потом встретились с женщиной, которая, судя по её образу жизни и мировоззрению, отвечала всем необходимым требованиям. Однако к большому удивлению искавших, после «интервью» она повела их наверх и открыла шкаф, где они увидели скелет. «Я стараюсь, — сказала она, — помалкивать о своих проблемах, но каждую ночь муж заставляет меня целовать этот скелет».
